Philippians 4:13 (NIV) I can do everything through him who gives me strength. The application The secret of contentment is walking in the spirit and doing the will of God. When you are in God's will for your life, whatever He allows to come your way, He will also equip you to endure and accomplish successfully. Therefore, you can do whatever God gives you to do because Jesus, who is now living through you, will give you the strength to do it. Philippians 4:13 says we can do "everything". There is no circumstance in life which you could not apply this scripture. "I can do everything through him who gives me strength". In light of the fact that God tells us that He will give us strength for whatever He calls us to do, then we should not be asking questions about how challenging, how difficult or how much opposition the task will bring but the question should be "Is this the will of God?". God has promised you in this scripture that there is nothing which you cannot do if you are abiding in Him. He will sustain you supernaturally by giving you the faith and strength to endure "everything. In my personal walk with Jesus I have experienced God's supernatural strength for everything that He has called me to do. He has given me every day enough manna to overcome and stay in His perfect will for my life. We serve a "can-do" God who has promised to equip you for the whole trip Home. If God has called you to do something, you might as well remove the word "cannot" from your vocabulary. Memorize this verse, meditate on it and apply it to every circumstance in your life. Remember, the secret of contentment is Christ. It is Christ's strength that will accomplish what the Father has allowed in your life. Your present circumstances are not an accident but a God-event. God wants to accomplish something for your good and His glory through it and He will bless you with contentment in this circumstance if you draw the strength from Jesus. Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus the reason for our precious relationship and the strength that I have every day to stay in Your perfect will for my life. Father, Jesus did tell me "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world". He did overcome the world and now He gives me what I need to overcome it with Him, with His strength. Thank You Father. You are so faithful with me. Father, continue giving me every day enough manna to overcome the trials of the day. This is Your promise to me and I trust in You ompletely. Thank You for my redeemer and savior, my sweet Jesus.
